I purchased this carport to house our 8.5m long (overall) caravan. It is a bit taller and wider than the Euro models, so I built raised rails on which to mount the carport, supported on concreted-in piles. This allows me to reverse in without worrying about the diagonal corner braces. As mentioned in other reviews, the instructions provided are in many cases cryptic and incorrect and must be used as a guideline only. A thorough review of the parts provided and how they fit together, which screws to use, and where to actually install the screws is required. Biggest complaints: the angles on the roof ridge cap and end cover were significantly less than the actual roof angle, therefore, the roof ridge looks very wavy, and the roof sheets are paper-thin so great care is required to not over-tighten the screws. Built mostly by this one old guy, and occasional assistance from his very helpful wife. Overall, I am happy with the product, pricing, and glad to be able to protect our investment from the horrible Northland weather. I did add bird deterrent on the horizontal bracing as we live near a reserve area.
Good product. Recommend using portable scaffold when constructing.

The carport kit is very heavy and comes in several boxes. It took 2 energetic guys and a pensioner to nut out the instructions and erect the structure over a day or so, including site prep. It went up as described and, though a bit light weight in places, looks fit for purpose.
Easy to erect. really needs two people, although I have built one on my own. The 5.5x35mm screws are too short, these are supposed to hold the bracing, need to 45 or 50. I drill 10mm holes on all the sockets on the bottom plate as water gets trapped in rusts very quickly. Membrane under the bottom plate is a good idea also. Putting the ridge cap on can be tricky, best way is to fix it as you go, don't put the roof sheets on and then the ridge cap, the roofing sheets are too soft to walk on. Read and follow instructions carefully.
