The Inturnal length is approximately 184cm, You are correct the 196cm is the external dimension.

They can't use a common upright if thats what you're asking, but you can place end to end and secure them together.

Nice and sturdy

Great set of shelves, nice and sturdy for my garden shed and storage unit. Will be buying another one soon, so they can make up the full wall of my storage unit. Very easy to put together with a soft mallet.

Solid shelves, easy to put up

Nice sturdy shelves which are well sized for plastic storage boxes. The feet are easy to screw to the ground for added stability.
