q: Would these work on a small poodle. Would you recommend any other blades i should buy, or is the one it comes with ok?
a: Yes they would be ok, you definitely need to buy a blade to go with it if you want to retain some length. 7F is the shortest we stock, so it depends on the finish you want. Have a read of the blade descriptions to see which ones might suit.

Absolute waste of money They don’t cut at all and the fine woolly coat on a poodle cross just catches between the combs and blades

They were not good at cutting my dogs hair. My dog is a bichon and these clippers were unable to cut the hair. Complete waste of money.

Perfect for Spoodle

We bought this and the 13mm blade for a spoodle. The combination works perfectly. Follow one of many youtube videos on how to groom your spoodle and yo will save the cost of this combination in two grooms. This unit has good power and cutting, just like the pro's

Awesome clippers, work really well with the number 5 clipper on my dogs. I like the length of the cord too, nice and long. Only problem I had was with the terrible instructions for changing the blades. The blade does not slide off, I read your review section to find Beau’s review and he is right they are on a hinge that opens out. I thought mine were broken and was going to send back till I read his review.

Great clippers

These are great wee clippers and after getting the hang of it they will save us a lifetime of expensive dog grooms. The instructions on getting the blades off though need to be a lot clearer as it took us an hour to figure out how to get the blade off. The blade is actually on a hinge that lifts up and away from the clippers to allow you to slide it off.

Not so silent

Bought this clipper for my maltese, it is far more noisy than the previous one so the dog doesn't like it very much.

I have 2 golden retrievers and recently groomed them myself. Clippers worked fine but needed to purchase another size blade for the length needed.

Disappointed with these clippers, be ok to use on their own but when you attach a comb they are not great

Have used once so far. Works well although a little noisey. Good backup for between groomings while I get used to them

The dog clippers I purchased from Trade Tested were great value, easy to use and they arrived very quickly. I also purchased an extra shaving head which was easy to change over. Thanks once again for a fabulous product.
