q: Can you confirm thickness? Descriptions says 21mm but it looks thicker than that.
a: The description is correct these 21mm thick.

q: Hi, just wondering if they can be laid over lime stone chip? We have a poolside area with electric cables buried with stone chip on top, we would like to cover without having to dig piles. Or is there some ground prep we would need to do first?
a: Yes you could do this, you will need to compact the area so it is a level and hard as possible.

q: What are the grips like underneath these tiles? Would them be safe to put over carpet without damaging it? Basically I need an affordable solution to transform a carpeted room into “hard flooring” at a property I rent and thought this could possibly work...
a: They are hardened plastic, if you scroll along to the fifth picture you can see them clearly. They will probably eventually make divots in the carpet, similar to furniture.

q: Hi - How does water drain under them? I want to add over our concrete patio but I don't want the water pooling under them.
a: They have raised feet underneath the base to allow for this.

q: Hi. Our concrete terrace is raised. Is there a product to cap the tiles so that the plastic and gap can’t be seen?
a: No there isn't however it would be easy enough to add your own.

q: Could you use this as a shed floor?
a: They would be great as the actual floor lining, however if you mean in a load bearing way as an alternate to a concrete pad or wooden frame base, then no.

q: Just to confirm these could sit on top of a butynol decking membrane on not cause damage to membrane
a: Yes they can.

q: In "Hard Surface" this would exclude a balcony clad with Butynol ?
a: No this is fine.

a: They are FSC Acacia.

q: Could you use it inside the house like bathroom or kitchen floor?
a: Yes you could.

q: Hi are the tiles water resistant? And do they hold up well outside? We have an outdoor concrete courtyard we would love to put the tiles on
a: Basically the same rules apply to this as other wood outdoor products - furniture etc. They come with a natural stain, however this needs to be renewed seasonally. Many customers opt to seal them immediately using a Cabots deck finish or similar, especially if they are going to be highly exposed. Check out reviews from other customer on this and the 12 slat model for good ideas on how to approach maintenance and installation for your area.

q: We are looking at doing a deck extension. Would they be suitable for this?
a: Yes although it depends how you mean. These are designed to be laid over an existing hard surface, they have no structure by themselves. Feel free to give our sales team a call to discuss further,

q: Could these tiles be put straight onto level grass or the soil underneath?
a: This could be ok temporarily, but really they need to be on a harder surface so they can drain properly. The feet of the base will sink into soil.

q: Hi Can I put this on the concrete slab? will it be moving aournd?
a: Yes you can. No it will be pretty solid when all locked together, however you could add some edging to help locate it if you feel it may be an issue - this also is a good looking finishing touch.

q: Would these be able to take the weight of a spa pool?
a: Yes they will.

q: Do you have photos of the six slat pack laid?
a: Yes if you keep clicking to the right on the photos above you can see this, or keep scrolling down this page and you can see some customer review photos also.

q: Can you use this on top of grass?
a: You can but it's not ideal, it really needs a firm base to stop it sinking and to maintain the air gap to promote draining.

q: I have a sound but discoulerd deck which I was about to replace. Can these tiles be laid on top of the existing deck as it would save heaps of work?
a: Yes this is a great solution. Keep in mind these tiles will still need to be regularly like any wooden product used outside.

Great looking, cost effective decking tiles

We are very happy with the deck tiles we purchased. They clipped together relatively easily and feel pretty solid underfoot. The overall visual effect of the tiles is very striking and really does elevate our deck area. The only reason I opted for 4 stars instead of 5 is that two of the tiles arrived in the box with some minor damage which meant they could not be clipped on - luckily we did not need to use all of them.

Was easy to install. Wood seems ok. Looks a little different compared to the photos on the website. Thinking about using it in our pool shed as a floating floor.

We've used these to cover both a concrete porch, and an old asbestos deck, and both look a million dollars! Easy enough to cut to suit, and so far so good in terms of durability.

a great little product at a great price but buy some extras as some of them curl up and need replacing. give them a good stain first 2 coats at least and the colour comes up amazingly.

I used these on an upstairs deck as they were not needing nails which would have damaged my waterproofing. I stained them with a good quality deck stain to help preserve them and after around 6 years I had to renew about 10 of them but the rest of them are still doing okay and this is a full sun area...So I reckon if I get 5 -6 years out of them maybe more then I am happy. I could have purchased the resin ones and might do that in due course .both sold by trade tested....I think if they have longevity that is higher I would recommend buying them instead of the wood ones...not sure they are reviewed for longevity yet though.

Deck Protection Solution

The packs of deck tiles arrived very quickly. They were easy to lay and look good. We used them on our existing deck for the inflatable spa to sit on - to allow some air to circulate underneath and prevent the wooden decking from rotting. So far so good.

We are using these inside ontop of our carpet in a doorway. We are just using a row of these, instead of an ugly matt. They look great. totally suit our natural wooden doors.
