This Brabantia ground socket is perfect for the 45mm diameter rotary clothesline. Fitting was relatively straight forward but given our hard ground, a 100mm rotary auger attached to a power drill was required to form the hole for the socket. I would suggest just trying to drive into the ground would prove very difficult.

Perfect. When i had remedial work done on my house the last ground spike for my rotary clothes line got accidentally thrown out so it was brilliant i was able to buy a strong spike replacement. I live in a very high wind area that I needed to hold my clothes line if i had left it up (not my normal habit)
