The powder coated aluminium construction is guaranteed to look great for years to come and is designed to stand up to most sheltered New Zealand conditions. The stylish Ironsand finish fits well with most outdoor areas and will definitely have the neighbours asking where you bought it from.

The 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate roof panels are UV stabilised to prevent yellowing and the twin-wall construction gives superior temperature control, keeping things cool in the summer by blocking UV rays, while still allowing plenty of light through. When the weather does turn, the built-in gutters feature hidden outlets through the foot of each pole, letting the water disperse without the need for ugly pipework everywhere.

It is very a hard wearing 8mm twin wall polycarbonate roof and product comes with a 2 year warranty.

Q:
I have a timber weatherboard house can mounting bracket be attached directly to weatherboards?
A:
Not by itself, the angle would be off, you could use a wedge/packer type solution, but really it is best to use a mounting plank/board that is bolted to the framing that the weatherboards are attached to.

hi, how deep is the rail that attaches to the house? Trying to work out if we can bold directly to the wood under the guttering or if we would need to fit a rail first to attach to. Many thanks.

The wall rail dimensions are: L 304cm x D 10.5cm x H 9cm.

Q:
Hey I was wondering whether the roof expands and contracts creating a creaking noise that you would here through ranch sliders as it heats up then go cold?
A:
It's not something we've come across and we've been selling these for a good few years now, there is some room for the polycarbonate to expand without putting undue pressure on the alloy frame.

Q:
The dimensions state that it is 2.8m high. Does that mean it can only be mounted to walls that are 2.8m or taller?
A:
Yes, unless you wish to shorten the posts. The posts are able to be shortened by cutting them down in length, you would have to re-drill the holes for the screws which attach the foot plate to the legs though. This is kind of modification is not covered in the manual and we recommend making sure that whoever does this work is competent and confident in doing so as we cannot cover this under warranty if mistakes are made.

Q:
One of the questions asked was what was the pitch of the roof (5 degrees). Is possible to change the angle of the pitch to increase it by screwing it at a different angle?
A:
Yes you could add a few degrees. Remember this will effect the distance from the wall the posts are located.

Q:
Kia ora, my house has fibre cement cladding. Can this shelter be affixed to that type of exterior?
A:
This needs to be fixed through the cladding directly to the frame, the best way would be to fix a 100 x 50 piece through the cladding anchored to the frame, then attach the patio cover to this.

The Patio cover went up with relatively few hassles. The instruction booklet was easy to follow. It is definitely a two person task and a small impact drill certainly sped up the job. After a good solid mornings work we were sitting under it enjoying a cold beer.

Tinting of panels.

Tinting on acrylic panels is far too light. Would like to apply tinting film to cut the glare. Otherwise, a brilliant product, well made and reasonable to install.
