Get the most from your outdoor areas whatever the weather, with this beautifully crafted freestanding patio cover.

Create a sheltered spot next to the pool, add some protection to the barbecue area, turn your deck into an extension of your living room or take a spa in the snow; whatever you need a cover for, this 3m x 3m free-standing unit is up to the job.

The powder coated aluminium construction is guaranteed to look great for years to come and is designed to stand up to most sheltered New Zealand conditions. The stylish Ironsand finish fits well with most outdoor areas and will definitely have the neighbours asking where you bought it from.

The 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate roof panels are UV stabilised to prevent yellowing and the twin-wall construction gives superior temperature control, keeping things cool in the summer by blocking UV rays, while still allowing plenty of light through. When the weather does turn, the built-in gutters feature hidden outlets through the foot of each pole, letting the water disperse without the need for ugly pipework everywhere.

Installation is straightforward, while maintenance is minimal, leaving you to get on with enjoying maximum time entertaining friends and family, or just watching the world go by from the shady comfort of your new patio cover.

Patio cover perfection

This is the second Trade Tested Patio cover we have purchased so that probably says it all. Bought to protect our spa pool from the elements, worked well at our last home so was a must-buy for our new home. A solo install project for my admittedly handy DIY husband, built within 3 hours both times. Photos show latest install + one shot of first TT patio cover. Looks great and does the job perfectly. Highly recommend!

Excellent product. Assembling was extremely fast and easy too. Good friends erected it for us and they said the instructions made it very easy to follow. The finished product looks amazing. It has really enhanced our outdoor entertaining area. The price was excellent. It was very easy to order and delivery was fast as well.

Patio cover went up fairly quickly. However found that there was a missing piece. One of the roof retaining clips was missing. Only got 9 not 10.

Reply from Trade Tested This unit had a fault and we have sent replacement parts.
Freestanding patio

Easy to assemble despite the scant sometimes badly translated instructions, only took a few hours. Was attaching to a raised deck so needed to purchase different bolts for the feet. Happy to discover that the legs could be moved into different positions along the supporting beam as this negated the need to get some sort of roof bracket due to porch roof being in the way. The drain holes had been cut into the wrong side of the lower support railing meaning water would not drain down the legs as it should but this also worked in my favour. Have left the end bracket off one side of the water channel, positioned that end over the house roof and now the water drains into my house gutter. Definitely better then having excess water on the deck

Another room

Wde are delighted with our patio cover. It has extended our house. Previously we didn't sit outside as often as we should have. The umbrella was falling to bits and was heavy and hard to put up so we avoided sitting outside. Now we have used the area under our patio cover daily. Even in the winter it will be used. Loving it. Once I get some outside lights for it it will be perfect.

Great outdoor cover

Took a few hours to install but we were able to do it ourselves and it looks really good. It fits well on our deck though is probably a little higher than we would have liked. Has been up for about 6 weeks and we are getting so much more use out of our deck now we have some shade - it is still bright (and lets light into the house) but removes the glare and protects us from the sun's bite. We have been subjected to some very windy and stormy days recently and have had no concerns with stability.
