The ultimate in versatile outdoor living, this awning disappears at the touch of a button.

Designed for larger spaces, this sleek full-cassette, charcoal powder coated aluminium design blends in easily when retracted, then at the touch of a remote button expands into 6 x 3m of shelter for your deck, patio, balcony or pool area.

The awning itself is made from quality, polyurethane coated, 280g/m2 polyester fabric for a lasting shade cover that blocks 90% of light and 99% of UV rays. Rated for UV50+ you know it can handle life in the Kiwi backyard.

The aluminium cassette and frame keeps your awning strong, sturdy and corrosion free. Installation is straight forward, with included cast aluminium wall brackets and heavy duty anchors so you just need to measure twice then drill for solid brick/masonry surfaces. If installing on weatherboard or timber remember to ensure you secure to a stud or roof joist using appropriate coach screws (not included).

Can this unit be safely attached to an exterior wooden framed house? wall?
A:
Yes, it can. The Awning is supplied with fixings for a concrete/block wall so you will need to provide your own bolt/screws for timber

Can the awning be fitted with a wind sensor for automatis closing?
A:
Possibly, but this is something we have not looked into on this model sorry.

Q:
Hi there, is the remote able to operate from inside the house without issues? For example if it is raining, it would be beneficial to be able to extend the awning from inside first.? (Not direct line of sight, and maybe through a wall)

Yes the wall should not interfere with the remote's ability to control the awning motor

no good if it doesnt with stand wind, what is its wind capacity

It has been tested to 70km/h, but we would always recommend retracting it in bad weather.

They are made to our design so they are built with NZ conditions in mind. They are manufactured in a factory in China

Hi, is this awning waterproof at all?
A:
The fabric is waterproof and rain will not come through it. However, we do not recommend having this open in bad weather as this will usually include higher winds which can risk damage to the awnings frame.

Is there a hand crank only option for this unit ?
A:
Not in this size (6m x 3m) sorry. We have 4m x 2m and 3m x 2m options of non-motorised retractable awnings.
