q: Further to the question regarding adding two units together, do you supply additional infill sheets to make a continuous canopy and if so how much are the additional sheets? Thank you.
a: This isn't something we can supply. The awnings can be connected because the brackets are slotted on both sides - so if you connected 2 awnings, you would use 3 brackets (with 1 left over), with one being the centre of the canopy with with polycarbonate sheets slotted into either side of it. This makes for a seamless connnection.

q: Is this black?

q: I see the questions from 2019 re length of the bracket have you developed a longer one yet, if not do you have plans to develop any?
a: Nothing in the works right now unfortunately.

q: Can I put two or even three fixed canopy awing side by side since you don't have any bigger width other than 1.5 meters to accommodate what I needed to achieve. Sorry to say but I have no building experience. Thank you so much and hope to hear from you soon.
a: Yes you definitely can do that. The frames have a slot on both sides so you can connect multiple sets seamlessly.

q: Are the brackets aluminium or plastic?
a: They are plastic - heavy-duty resin.

q: Can I get the roof panel in dark brown instead of clear?.. What is the cost to send to Christchurch?

a: No we only have the one colour available.

q: We have a two story home w very low eves on bottom story roof, and not much space between the eve and top of window, are these awnings able to be fitted onto the eves and not the wall over window, also are there bigger sizes?
a: This is the biggest size, yes you could attach this to the eaves (bargeboard).

q: Do you have anything longer than 1000mm like maybe 1200mm x 1500mm?
a: No we don't at this stage.

q: Do you think this could be cut down to make it smaller (width wise)?
a: It would be tricky to not ruin the polycarbonate. We also sell a 1.2m wide version if that helps?

q: This would be perfect for our backdoor area. However when a southerly wind comes through it can get quite windy. Would this awning withstand high winds? Thank you.
a: They don't have a specific wind rating, however they're pretty sturdy! Check out some of the customer reviews to see what others think.

q: Is there any way fixing it onto Soffit with angle iron instead of onto a stucco plaster wall?

1.5m fixed canopy awning

Went together easily and mounted strongly above door. In our case the 1m wide one would not have fitted over the door, due to distance up to soffit.

Fixed Canopy Awning 1.5 x 1.0 m

Excellent product - fit for a mansion - mine is actually attached to a recently built wood shed - I didn't want to attach a door for better airflow and the canopy keeps the rain out 100%

Maximum clearspan between wall brackets is 1.4m

While the overall width is 1.5m, there is only 1.4m between the wall brackets which are each 50mm wide, so the door/window cannot be wider than 1.4mm. Otherwise product is well built and strong.

Pretty good

Excellent product and once up it’s now amazing, but I couldn’t have put it up by myself.. I got a friend who’s a builder to help and we had to hit up a hardware shop for some better bolts. Still an epic product and it’s fantastic now it’s up.

The Canopy Awning is Great

We recently installed the Fixed Canopy Awning over French doors. It is excellent, keeping the rain off most of the glass panes, and is coping with the wind. Great product.

Great product. Easy to assemble. Easier to mount on a flat surface than a TRS-5 cladding but not an insurmountable task.

Working out all right. It has popped out of the frame once in a freak gust. Screws are now in tighter than they perhaps were, so no problem now.

awning 1.5 x 1.00

nice looking once in place but plastic had to have 15mm trimmed off it so as to fit properly .Provides good rain shelter for rain falling straight down but with wind assist can get a bit underneath which is to be expected great to have the sun light getting through onto the door in our application

A great shelter by the courtyard entrance, especially if it is raining. Needed some adjustment/trimming to fit the bracket. We're really pleased with it.

OK, but limited fixing options

The canopy seems OK in its construction and is easy to assemble, but it only contains instructions for fixing to a masonry wall. If you want to fix it to a wooden building you're on your own.

Quality is good, however I had to trim off approx 15cm from the clear screen as there was no way it would fit the frame. I see someone else has made a similar comment.

This review system is poor as I’ve tried to submit 4 times now & it’s failed to submit. The canopy is good apart from needing to cut a 15mm strip off of the plastic sheet provided to get to to fit into the frame. The dynabolt anchors provided will not be suitable for most NZ homes.

Great product. Solved a problem with damp coming through sliding windows in the conservatory. Would have liked more tinting in polycarbonate so more sun blocking could be obtained.

Good Value

At the time of writing this I've only just started to install the canopy so can't comment on durability. It was certainly very easy to assemble and light to handle plus quality of finish is excellent plus the design appears to have been well thought out. Not sure how "flexy" it would be in high wind conditions plus only time will tell regarding it's resistance to NZ's high levels of UV (although I'm installing it in a low wind / shaded area so it should be fine and it is Polycarbonate). The product comes with 4 "dynabolt" type fixings which assumes that it is to be fitted onto either a concrete or brick cladding but given the fact that many of these canopies will be fitted into timber framing these won't suit all requirements. Also the bolts supplied appear to zinc coated which in areas of high salt content in particular are not a good idea (Council regs would require stainless steel)and they will eventually rust in any conditions. I would suggest that it would be best not to supply fixing bolts at all and just offer suggestions in the instructions. This would also reduce the cost of the canopy....just a suggestion :-)

Overall very happy for the price. Bit tricky to assemble as the clear roof is so bendy. Also instructions were for smaller model so pleased I measured the one I had. Typical (Chinese ?) instructions almost not worth having.

This product seems to be very steady. I've installed 3 awnings in one row. Make sure to fix the center brackets on the far outside to the mounting rail by drilling and putting a screw crosswise. This will steady any side movement. It has survived already a view very windy days. Yes, they look nice and we are very happy with that product.

Awning review

Packaged well. Really needs two persons to assemble to make it easier, and is more challenging when two pieces are assembled together. Since one end bracket is wasted when more than one is joined this is unnecessary and surely a different pack, and cheaper could be created Although this comes with Dyna bolts to go into concrete it would be appreciated if screws and related items are included to go into wooden walls

we are very happy with this product it was basically simple and yet effective and reasonably priced. it stops most of the rain we used to get into our back porch that had no external door and we had very wet floors etc untill now, so great stuff in our opinion. would recomend they also provide good size coach screws for most that will fix to timber framing, only dynabolts are provided that are only good to fix to concrete.

Replacement Awning Canopy

This Awning was bought to replace a shabby earlier model of the same design bought over 5yrs ago from a competitor. The advantages of the new awning was the composite black plastic support frames (matches our existing aluminum Joinery), the excellent sealing (no leaks) and ease of assembly. Excellent instructions. We now have no leaks and as the unit is not painted it will hold its colour well in to the future. (Old unit had cast Aluminum frames with paint pealing off)
