Q:
Do these provide any protection from wind?
A:
They would. However it is not their intended use so we would not recommend getting them for that primary purpose, at least not for heavy winds. As it is a large surface to catch the wind, it might end up overloading the anchoring clips

Q:
Can these be mounted horizontally Ie the width becomes the height ? How would the crank handle then work ?
A:
You could, but they're not rigid, so would need some kind of runner system for the top edge, other wise it would fold over except when fully extended and fastened at the other end, perhaps a wire across the top and loop in the top end of the lower bar. You would need to pull them out by hand then crank back in, as they need the weight of the lower pole to extend smoothly on the crank - obviously you wouldn't have this if mounted sideways. Basically it could work but you'll need to put some thought into exactly where you want to mount and how you'll use.

Q:
Hi can you see through them. We would like to put it up on a beam over a deck then attach to the top of the swimming pool fence. We would like to be able to see kids in pool when we a sitting.
A:
It depends on the angle, light intensity etc, so if you wanted consistent viewing then they might not be the best option.

Q:
Hi there can you please tell me the maximum width of the blind is including the brackets?
A:
As per specs it's 305cm + 2.5cm + 2.5cm = 310cm.

Q:
Hi there, are you able to tell me if the 305 cm measurement is the total width from one end of the bracket to the other, or is it just the width of the actual blind itself (with the brackets sticking out further than this)? I am wanting to attach this to the posts of the 3 m side of the 3x4 m roof louvre system we bought from you guys but am worried it might be too wide for this...?
A:
Yes the 305cm is the blind width, the bracket dimensions are as listed in the specs.

Q:
Hi, we are wanting these for privacy around a spa, would you see able to see through them at night?
A:
It's a little hard to say really, it depends on the lighting around your spa and the viewing angle, you could at least most likely see shadows & movement from ambient lighting. The customer review photos give a pretty good idea of the weave density, which should help you make your decision.

Fantastic

These blinds are brilliant. We were looking to spend around 15k on aircon before we installed these! Easy to install and makes out north facing bedrooms so much cooler. We love them

Outdoor Sunscreen Blind

Easy to install. Reduces heat coming through the slider. Can see through fabric from inside but not outside. Reasonable quality, does the job we intended it for.

Outdoor Sun Screen Roller Blind

Overall blind is good, but a slight breeze and the bottom rail just bows out and pulls the end cap off the rail We tried gluing but not enough joining surfaces to get a good seal and pulled out again. Have replaced with a sturdier rail that doesn’t bow. Seems stupid it can not handle a slight breeze, and I mean like 5 knots of wind, so NZ on a nice day.

Does what we wanted. Had to cut a bit off width which we knew before purchase. Very easy to re hem with sewing machine. Not suitable for use when windy

Perfect

Needed a blind, to block out the afternoon sun and uv protection, we are very happy with the choice we made. It was easy to install and operate and does the job perfectly.
