Q:
What are the brackets made of? would I be able to fix them to a aluminium beam? Thanks
A:
The brackets are painted metal and Yes you can fix this to an aluminium. This comes with wood screws, so you will need to supply your own screws for aluminium

Q:
Can these be mounted horizontally Ie the width becomes the height ? How would the crank handle then work ?
A:
You could, but they're not rigid, so would need some kind of runner system for the top edge, other wise it would fold over except when fully extended and fastened at the other end, perhaps a wire across the top and loop in the top end of the lower bar. You would need to pull them out by hand then crank back in, as they need the weight of the lower pole to extend smoothly on the crank - obviously you wouldn't have this if mounted sideways. Basically it could work but you'll need to put some thought into exactly where you want to mount and how you'll use.

Q:
Are the blinds rain proof. and I have a span of 3.7m can I use Two blinds on one side
A:
They will stop a light shower, but they are made to be breathable and will let some water though. You can use two blinds next to each other, just note you will have a small gap between the fabric, we also have a 183cmW x 244cmH size if two of them would fit you better

Q:
Do these provide any protection from wind?
A:
They would. However it is not their intended use so we would not recommend getting them for that primary purpose, at least not for heavy winds. As it is a large surface to catch the wind, it might end up overloading the anchoring clips

Q:
Can these blinds be easily installed on a metal frame of our Patio roof or only meant for wooden frame?
A:
Yes they can you would just need to drill into the frame.

Q:
Hi, is it possible to lower these blinds with a pull chord (or just pulling the blind) or does it have to be using the crank handle? I'm thinking of this blind to block a second story bedroom window which cooks in the afternoon sun. It would be preferable to be able to lower the blind from inside the room and leaning out with a crank handle mightn't be the best.
A:
It would be simple enough to rig something up on the mechanism, maybe rotate the mechanism 90 degress and put a drive pulley on it, however it's not something we have tried ourselves!

Q:
Hi can you see through them. We would like to put it up on a beam over a deck then attach to the top of the swimming pool fence. We would like to be able to see kids in pool when we a sitting.
A:
It depends on the angle, light intensity etc, so if you wanted consistent viewing then they might not be the best option.

Outdoor Sun Screen Roller Blind

Easy to install. Noted quick drop in temperature which is what we wanted for our outdoor area. Like the added ability to tie down the bottom for those windy days. Recommend this product

great blind

Great blind, easy to install and is more robust than I expected for the price. Useful anchor points. A usefull tip - Use anchor points and then tighten the blind a bit to keep it nice and snug. Highly recommended.

Roller blind

This is an excellent product. Our outdoor area has full sun in the late afternoon and it was impossible to sit out there without getting burned. The roller blind when pulled down blocks the sun and makes it very pleasant to sit. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Ranch Slider Shade

Another great purchase, have used two of these before for our pergola, one under the roof and one down the front, now purchased this for the ranch slider to keep the sun out. Does the job really well.
