Product overview

Ditch single-use plastic planter bags & gain the ability to check on your mini potato or carrot harvests through side windows- no more digging through deep soil.

These felt-like, sustainable fabric grow bags are reusable & allow for great aeration so your plants will not suffer from heat build-up or overwatering. Made with porous fabric that air-prunes plant roots, resulting in a robust and healthy root system.

Traditional pots block 80% of air ventilation leading to weaker and circled root systems. With the combination of air root pruning creating a better root structure and the aeration of the root zone, your plants can reach their full potential.

These reusable bags are made from a double layer felt fabric that is non-woven and BPA free. This felt provides a safe growing medium that is PH neutral, and non-reactive.

Getting started

Add 10cm of garden mix to the grow bag and place 5 sprouted seed potatoes on top (sprouts should point up). Cover with around 5cm of soil and water generously. As the sprouts appear through the top soil, keep covering with garden mix until you reach you top. Make sure to keep your grow bag in a sheltered sunny spot and water regularly to ensure the grow bag does not dry out (try not to get the foliage wet). When it's time to harvest your potato crop, round up the kids, lift up the grow bag flap and put them to work!

Design aspect

A design idea would be to have the velcro flap opening from the top rather than the bottom as I found any lose dirt falls out. Initially good, but one bag has ripped at the handle area.

Spud bag

Great price for a pack, we brought two packs after buying one single bag from a plant shop. Worked well good size we have them molded up a few times now and awaiting a our first crop of spuds. Handy to grow them in our smaller back yard as vegetable patch is too small
