Product overview

This compact but powerful 7 tonne splitter is ideal for domestic users who need to cut logs down to a manageable size.

WIth a reliable, efficient and maintenance-free 2300W electric motor, noise levels are low and splitting power is high enough to keep you well stocked with firewood and kindling.

Take on seasoned softwood and hardwood logs from 5cm – 32cm in diameter and up to 52cm in length, allowing you to easily split pieces of wood which would be a struggle with an axe.

Operation is two-handed, ensuring your hands and arms are kept away from the splitting mechanism for increased safety.

The wheels and built in handle make maneuvering it around your property easy, while the compact dimensions mean it will slot neatly into the woodshed. Perfect for elderly people wanting to split their own firewood and those who need a compact wood splitter for home use.

Put down the axe, save your back and order yours today.

Some assembly required.

Very Pleased.

Good results on most logs. Even knotty, old, dried out wood was despatched to the firewood pile. Excellent for home use.

Log splitter

Had to put the unit on a platform .Two operators cut down a lot of body movement one loads it one operates the ram . For big jobs hire a log splitter .faster .

Log Splitter

We bought it to re split our fire wood . ideal for this .works well .Better than lifting heavy firewood into the fire box.

Dont know what you mean

The log splitter now sits on my back porch, 3 meters from my log fire. Next to it is a wheelbarrow filled and ready to split. It does not get any easier than that. No noise no gas fumes. Just respect it is only 7 T and you have a great machine that you will be pleased with.

Should have bought one before

Like most of the reviews our experiences with the splitter have been excellent, a couple of months in. It is able to split logs, including larger ones, more easily than was expected for the relatively low power of the machine compared with typical petrol engine splitters at several times the cost. Easy to operate even by a small female once its been shifted into place. Again like many reviewers the main criticism is of its low height and difficult of moving around, as it weighs about as much as an average male. So I ended up installing it permanently on a pneumatic wheeled steel flat bed garden cart on raised wooden supports fixed to the cart, which is proving worth the cost and effort. It is one of those devices that we should have purchased a long time ago if they'd been available. Certainly recommended. Looks like it will last the long haul but that's yet to be proven.

What have I done?

A large truck arrived in the driveway and the hoist dropped a large box off.Two guys then man handled it to the wood shed. I immediately thought this is overkill. I should have bought the smaller unit. Two days later I had bought a work bench and with help (I'm 73) mounted the splitter on to the bench. Conclusion absolutely brilliant. I'm splitting large blue gum logs that I doubt the smaller unit could handle. Cant stop using it, I probably have two seasons of kindling already done.

Pretty good for electric

This machine worked pretty much as I expected. I dealt to most of my wood, althogh the really knotty wood and a couple of the Kanuka rounds were too much for it. The Kanuka splits better with impact from the axe, but most of it split under pressure from the machine. My only dislikes are that it's almost too heavy and awkward for me to move around and it's too low to the ground. (65yr old woman) Trying to get it up onto a platform for easier operation is made difficult by its unwieldy weight, so my back and legs were somewhat strained by having to get low down to press both controls to operate it. I'll be getting a heavy duty handcart or something to mount it on for easier manouvering and added height before next summer's firewood needs it's attention.

First use went well

Used this for about 20 mins when it first arrived, happy with its power and splitting abilities. It was easy to setup out of the box with simple instructions. Will put a lot more use through it soon.
