Greenworks 40V Long Reach Hedge Trimmer 510mm 2.0Ah Kit

Purchased this unit in Feb 2026 to trim my side of the next door neighbour's hedge as my old petrol hedge trimmer was getting to heavy for me to use (quite a high hedge some 3-4 meters tall). Went out one day to do some shopping with view to cut hedge the next day. Got home and noticed the hedge was gone, cut down completely by the neighbor. so used the unit on a rental of mine that had not been cut for some two years. Handed the work easily, and the 2AH battery lasted a lot longer than I thought it would - about 45 mins. Had already purchased a 6AH battery and used that for about 90 odd minutes and still had two lines of power left by the time I finished the job. Great tool.

This works extremely well for me and a lot easier than using ladders, planks with a petrol hedge trimmer. Also very quiet compared to the petrol trimmer, neighbour's do not know you are trimming the hedge.

Unfortunately hedges don't have the same legal restrictions as fences and we have been forced to ensure neighbour's hedge doesn't further encroach over the boundary. The cost of getting someone to cut back on a regular basis led us to look at buying the Long Reach Hedge Trimmer. We are impressed with the quality of the unit. However, it is heavy with the extension added and not easily handled especially as we are older and with a high hedge to deal to.

At last the dreaded bamboo has been tamed, the hedges are under control and keeping things tidy is a matter minutes. A good quality, easy to use tool that sits with quite a few other tools from the Greenworks range including the lawnmower and weedeater - all using the same batteries which means I never run flat, - highly recommended

Excellent purchase, very efficient and, as it comes in three peices, can be used at a shorter extended length when full reach not required. Much lighter and easier to manage than my existing pole trimmer. Very pleased with the purchase and good value.

Pretty good does the job well with big cut 26 mil. Fairly heavy for an 88 year- old and neck strap essential to help with load. Certainly ploughs through. an overgrown hedge and has great battery life 20 to 30 minutes at least at least. Highly recommend.

The trimmer is very sharp and easy to operate. However, it may not be very suitable for ladies' use as it is quite heavy (a good excuse to get the man in the house to do the job!)

My last one lasted over eight years of brutal property cutting with no sharpening, gearbox gave out, but owed me nothing. This new one fits replacement heads which is great, seems to have sharper stainless steel blades and I’m sure will last just as long!

I have a bush lined residential site and lots of boundary trees that need regular pruning and shaping to allow garden sun in and as I use rain storage we need keep our gutters clean. This lightweight trimmer meets our needs.
