Product overview

Composting your kitchen scraps and garden waste helps cut down on rubbish disposal costs – as well as your contribution to landfills – by recycling organic materials into a nutrient-filled supplement for your garden. While saving you money on commercial composts or manure, your home-made compost will improve the soil quality and microflora of your garden, making it healthier, more productive and easier to work with.

This tumbling compost bin has a unique design that makes composting faster by letting in fresh air to supply the oxygen needed for bacterial activity. Give it a tumble every two or three days to help aerate it. The built-in mixing fins help break up clumps so your compost stays loose for optimal airflow.

The drum is fully enclosed so that your compost stays warm and won’t dry out, and is safe from getting soggy when it rains. Made from 90% recycled plastic, the drum is also UV protected to stop strong sunlight from killing the bacteria your compost needs. The large front opening allows easy access, but closes securely to keep in odours and keep out insects and animals.

The heavy duty steel frame and sturdy wheels keep your compost bin off the ground and let you easily manoeuvre it around, without lifting it or straining your back.

For the best composting system around, try a tumbling composter today.

Compost Bin Tumbler 190L

After getting one of these, I quickly realised I needed another one of these. Because it's good..

Works well.

Slightly tricky to put together - especially the locking mechanism. Apart from that we are very happy with tumbler.

Compost Bin Tumbler 190L

works as stated.you need to cut longer lengths so it doesn't bind and stop it from turning.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Great Product

This is a great product, no problem with assembly and once you work out the lid, easy to open and close. Will purchase another

Good little tumbler

Had mine for almost 4 years I replaced it with a stand made of treated building stakes and fencing wood, and it still works a treat. I have a plastic tray underneath to catch the leachate which I empty once a week and water it on the garden - the plants love it.

Great value. Works well.

This is now the 3rd of these I've bought. The first one was probably about 8-10 years ago. That one is now falling to bits. The frame has rusted and the barrel is splitting. I looked at various options to replace it and decided that for value and the job it does I couldn't go past this one. It takes a bit of time to assemble but the instructions are excellent and all the nuts, bolts etc are laid out in a tray for easy identification. One addition I make is to add washers on 2 or 3 of the bolts that attach the 2 halves of the barrel. I put them at the 'bottom' of the barrel, opposite the opening, to create a gap of 2-3mm, through which any water can drain, avoiding the compost getting too soggy and anaerobic. I have 2 of these tumblers in operation - one for current additions and one that has finished composting and now has lovely black compost with plenty of worms, ready for adding to the garden. Yes, the frame and other metal parts do rust after a while, but for stainless steel versions of these the cost would be much higher. Therefore, I think this is very good value.

The Tumbling Bin

This is my second bin so obviously well liked. First assembled by son. The non techno's found instructions not so clear when assembling the lid. Took a while to realise the rim fits from the inside underneath. This septuagenarian finds turning difficult when reasonable amount inside. Some grips would be great.
