TuffRacks are designed and built in New Zealand specifically for the trade market, so you know they are the toughest around. Made from stainless steel, TuffRacks look great and are super strong. Each bar is individually assembled and has a load rating of 160kg.
These racks use a gutter-mounting system and consist of an inner and outer section which allows adjustment from 1050mm to 1500mm, so they can fit a wide range of vehicles. Tuffacks are sold as single units and vehicles will require 2-3 racks.
The racks come complete with everything you need to install them. Before ordering, figure out the clearance you need by measuring your vehicle from the bottom of the roof gutter to the highest point of the roof and make sure there is at least 20-25mm of clearance to the bottom of the bar. The TuffRack Low has 135mm of clearance from the gutter-mount to the bottom of the bar.

I needed to replace my last tuff racks after 10 years use, which I loved but were bent and rusting. I was stoked these new ones are made of stainless and did read the reviews about the noise. Yep they're pretty loud and droning at speeds of 80-100kms, not so bad on short trips but can get a bit much after hours. I would still recommend due to weight loading, maybe a stainless tube doesn't have the structural integrity of box section and that's why they're made that way. But definitely be aware of the noise. Other than that they're great. One thing I did do and would recommend is lock tight on the bolts, working with stainless bolts they loosen over time and you don't want the racks to fail at the wrong time
Good solid roof racks, very noisy once installed. Round bars are way better than Square bars for that reason.
Got 3 for my van. Fitted out of the box. Only let down is the standard zinc parts. These will be the first bits to rust.
Racks are OK but for the cost there are better racks available. Vibrate in the wind as driving due to the square shape. D fixing is also in an annoying spot for tying loads on. Needs to be on the outside. No very happy with them
Great roof rack.
They were what I was after. Great value for money.
Bought 3 of these and am really happy.
Bought this rack for a commercial vehicle to tie down ladders. So far it is very sturdy and reliable. Will buy more for other van.
Very Happy with the product.
Preferred the old model as bar was a bit longer out the ends which made it easier for us to tie down with rope. But otherwise still good
