q: Does it have a switch to turn off? So it can be used while needing the light but turned off when not in use?

a: Yes this would be good, it's designed to be attached to a wall, but it would be easy enough to rig up.

q: Hi, It says it Auto dims to 30% after 6hrs is it possible to adjust the brightness to 30% prior to 6hrs...? Or adjust to different levels at all..?

a: No this model has fixed operating modes.

The positive of this light is that it is solar, works well and throws great light for dark places at NIGHT. The negative is that the ON / OFF switch is located on the solar panel - NOT the light itself. And given solar panel are usually located as high as possible away from obstructions its design does not make it convenient to turn on and off. Also need to be aware - as per description it is 'light sensitive' so if there is any light i.e day break it will not work. Still a good product for the right situation.

This light fixture is easy to install and emits a soft widespread light. The solar panel can be mounted away from the light itself and angled to maximize charging. Even in winter the light stays on until morning. It would be great if this light came with a motion-detecting option instead of being always on, but the light is soft enough that it’s not intrusive. Great buying and highly recommended!

Great light. Tested the 2 x 18650 batteries separately for capacity and both were higher than advertised. The light does not drain the battery past the 3v mark and does not charge higher than the specified 4.2v which is perfect for longevity. The light when fully charged, will provide light the whole night. Very good waterproof seal on both the panel and battery compartment. Real satisfied with my purchase.

Great light very bright didn't realise it had a light sensor in it so you can't turn it on during the day time, this is a bit of an issue for us as we are using it to light a wood shed. But certainly does the required application. Bottom line would I get another one or recommend, Yes.

Both the light and solar panel is very sturdy and of good quality. The solar panel contains 2 x 18650 no-name brand cells. I was sceptical at first but discharge tests on 18650 charger indicates that they are 2100mah. Solar charging cuts off at 4.19v and during discharge with the light on they do not go below 3.0v, which is perfect for 18650 cells. Happy with my purchase. Thanks
