So why do you recommend using this none IP rated dimmer with your IP rated outdoor festoon lights?
A:
This dimmer will be close to the power point, which for many people will be in a sheltered location or inside. If you have a completely exposed outdoor power point then this is not suitable.

I bought this in hope it would dim another LED driver I have, but it didn't dim. I'm sure this works great for it's intended purpose of dimming the TradeTested festoon LED lights.
