When installing this onto a flat concrete garage floor, i found that the outer stay (bar), flexed when tension is put on it from the shade, making the top of the shade slump. There is too mush movement in the base of the outer stay.

Ideal if there is no wind but we got caught out with a sudden gust which broke handle and pole. (Not very strong metal). Not covered if wind damaged, parts were going to take 4 months & a bit costly so replaced the whole unit.

We have utilised this screen to block guests booked in Studio 1 screening their view onto the deck of Studio 3 guests. I found it relatively easy to fit and the fitting package gives you options.

We purchased 3 of these late 2018.good quality for most part but have only used 2 as the free standing pole for screens when pulled out to latch into were not as advertised as in picture ,in steel and instead had end pole of entirely different makeup from photo and bent terribly when being used causing screen to bend.We have had to put extra strong wooden posts to latch screen in an alternate way and they are not attractive ,making the third one impossible to use as planned.Spoke to a couple of people at trade tested soon afterward to try and sort it out and all we got was send photos.Well actually it is up to them to check their stock!and their advertising .The stable pole may have been on the shipment previously but not the new stock.It is up to Trade Tested to deal with their suppliers and cheap replacement parts..not the customer to spend money and time not planned and get mucked around by requests from Trade Tested asking for emails and photographs.Why did they not examine their own advertising and products in store?The original free standing pole worked well as we had seen them in use at a friends.Quality assurance is the key Trade Tested and correct advertising.I would not recommend this otherwise good product at this time.The manufacturers have obviously tried to save "money"without telling their customers ..in this case being Trade Tested .Not good enough as the end purchaser ends up with the problem and expense.Very disgruntled purchaser.

We bought 2 of the side screens, the pole storage clip couldn't mount to the side, one broke and we just gave up trying for the 2nd set. The aluminium post was not sturdy to support the spring tension of the screen and when hooked on to the post, the post was pulled to one side. We tried wall mounting and we found the nuts/screws missing, my builder had to go out to buy them.

Ordered the blind on the Sunday and it was delivered on the Wednesday from Auckland to Hastings, speedy delivery, the blind in itself is awesome a great wind breaker, and the quality is excellent it was very easy to put together, my only wee negative comment is I wish that the brackets where all made of steel instead some where made of a plastic.

The product is well engineered and easy to install with various options to suit different situations. There is adequate extension length which is readily retrieved by the strong automatic return mechanism. The casing is an ovoid shape with a flat back which fits onto a wall/vertical surface and is very attractive and augments most anodysed aluminium door frames. The beige fabric screen is taught and allows sunlight to be diffused without excluding it altogether. It was well worth the extra 4 month wait for delivery. A very reasonable price too.

Am totally delighted with this robust, well designed screen. Absolutely perfect for screening my outdoor laundry area from my guests' outdoor seating area. It is stylish and elegant and can just be lifted out of its retainer and rolled back into itself when I have no guests. Have two friends getting one too already! we purchased two of the retractable side screens for each end of our deck ,the protection they have given us has really surprised us and now allows us to sit out on the deck on the chilly days. we are hit with easterlies more than the southerlies but we are really pleased that we have the protection at both ends .Family and friends have really been impressed with these as well.

I come from a textile background and would not be able to produce a product such as this for twice the price. I find the screen to be very neat, tidy and easy to install and use. overall a great product.
