q: So I take it that it comes with everything you need to use it? i.e. chain...
a: Yes it comes with everything you need apart from the Chain & Bar Oil, any good quality chain oil is fine. If you look under 'Frequently Bought Togther' you can add some Synforce Chaain & Bar Oil to your cart.

q: Would this be suitable for hedge trimming including Feijoa and Pittisporum trees?
a: It's not the best option for small hedges, but great for Feijoa and pittosporum.

q: Can this tool work as a multitool with different attachments, e.g. Bush cutter attachment?
a: No this is designed purely as a pole saw.

q: Dose the $299 price include battery and charger?
a: Yes it does, it's a great deal in our humble opinion!

a: Yes it is, all Greenworks batteries are compatible across the range of tools.

q: Can i purchase without battery and charger as i have two already?
a: Yes you can, just search Greenworks on the site and it will show all options.

q: How long do you get out of the battery before it goes flat and how long does it take to recharge?
a: The recharge time is 60mins for a 2.0Ah battery. The run time really depends on how much load is being placed on the tool. Thicker woods that are denser and harder to cut will drain the battery faster - you should get approx 50 cuts on a charge, but it totally depends on application.

q: What would be the maximum thickness that this pole saw could cut?
a: Approximately 10 - 15cm depending on how far away you are from the branch.

Useful saw. Easy to use and cuts well. Not to be used as a hedge trimmer though. Plenty of battery life, great value for money.

Great battery saw

Topped 30 odd poplar trees with this versatile little tool. Arms would give out before the battery! Quieter and just as good cutting as a much heavier petrol pole saw!

Great pole saw with plenty of grunt and will exceed your expectations.

Pole chainsaw

Since buying my pole chainsaw I have used it several times. Pruning my fruit trees, cutting up branches I had to have removed and sawing the branches into firewood lengths. Have charged the battery once! Great addition to my tool collection!

Great pruning saw

cuts through 100mm branches no problem. Gives your arms a good workout when you use at full length for a long period of time.

Very Handy Saw

Bought this pole saw to remove lower shrub and tree branches. It's nicely balanced and easy to use - makes hard work easy. Does a great job on most branches but did make rough cuts on lagerstroemia trees, which are very brittle. I haven't used the extension as it is too heavy for me to handle. Something hubby would be able to use more easily.

Great little pole saw. Easy to use, good information with it. Doesn’t take long to recharge. Would highly recommend it

Greenworx pole saw

I have had this pole saw for about a month. It cuts well has the power for the job. Generally it appears robust. My only comments: The trigger/lock system is opposite to my other tools. When using it on a reach and you finish the cut you are supporting the machine through the on button so it stays running until you can relieve the weight from the trigger which is not ideal. If the trigger lock and trigger were reversed it would make it safer to operate. Also the battery appears to drop power if charged then stored for a week. The 1st time out doesn’t last but a recharge brings it back to quite a decent working time

Better than Expected!

never used a chainsaw before...but with the help of a very experienced friend I found this pole saw extremely effective. My friend who obviously is much better qualified to give an opinion did most of the work trimming my very large banksia. Even tho we had the saw operating for over 1/2 an hour and did some rather large cuts( largest being 5-6 inches, which is larger than specified), the saw cut through hard wood like butter, and the battery was still on one bar at the end! I have a back, and neck problem, but with the harness I was able to comfortably do an extra 20 minutes myself with full extension, without straining myself.

Recently purchased this handy tool. Relatively light-weight, efficient with adequate reach. Have utilized this handy tool extensively over the past week and now considering investing in the hedge-trimmer. Have strongly recommended to my mates.

I love it. I can now reach those hard to get branches without using a ladder or getting a neighbour to help. I love that there are no electrical cords to get in the way and that the battery lasts longer than my energy level and that the battery is used for my Long Reach Hedge Trimmer too.

This pole saw is very impressive. With the 2.1 meter reach and my body height, I am able to trim the tress on my property without the need of a ladder. Also it is far lighter and hence easier to use than my petrol driven pole saw.

A fantastic addition

A fantastic addition to my collection of pruning tools, handling those inaccessible and good-sized olive branches with ease. It makes pruning so much easier and leaves my old pole saw for dead. And not only that but it's also great value for money.

more capable than it looks.. and sounds

I bought this polesaw on the back of buying the 16" 40V chainsaw (So i use it with the larger 4.0Ahr battery, which give a good amount of cutting time). It is surprisingly grunty, and handles large green branches 150mm in diameter with relative ease, and in silence... well OK, maybe not silence, but it is certainly much quieter than the petrol equivalent. great addition to the rechargeable tool kit. Only downside is that it feels quite top(saw end) heavy, but with the battery mounted right on the base end of the pole, you couldn't really get better balance.using the supplier shoulder strap helps.

This is my second pole saw and the 40V system is excellent for garden tools. It cuts every quickly and the charge lasts a long time. The auto oil feed works well but you must keep the feed area clean or it will clog. A brilliant saw.

What a brilliant product. Have purchased the GreenWorks Chainsaw and blower previously and they are fantastic. Going to the battery is certainly easier and easier especially for the smaller jobs although I have used all of them quite hard too.

Greenworks Pole Saw

For garden tools it's probably one of the best purchases I have made. One charge gives loads of use and I'm still amazed at the size of the limbs it will cut through. I have a petrol driven pole saw and it looks like it's destined for the scrap heap.

Great tool for the arsenal

The pole saw is the latest addition to my greenworks tool shed and I’ve been very impressed with its performance. I’ve been using to trim cryptomeria shelter trees so far and this thing absolutely chews through it. The ability to take out pole lengths also makes it very maneuverable. Battery performance is impressive as with the other greenworks tools. Drops a star for being a little awkward at full length and the fit of the arm strap. However a bit more use should get me used to it. Thanks Trade Tested
