We used these on a playhouse. They are easy to fit and look great. The only problem we have encountered is that we are in a windy spot and the wind lifts the shingles and bends them back over the row above. We have used construction glue to hold them down
Log cabin roof shingles

I was looking for a product to replace cedar shingles which look good but don't last long in Blenheims weather due to the temperature extremes between summer and winter. The roof shingles look good and are easy to install. They are also inexpensive.
Perfect for the job

I purchased these Roofing Shingles from TradeTested and these are ideal for the job. I designed and built a dog house for our German Shepherd and the Shingles finished the job off perfectly. Here are some additional details that I couldn't get from the details available on the website: Each tile is (L)1000mm x (H)333mm x (W)3mm. There are 21 tiles in the packet, which was more than enough for the job - I have 6 left over. These are Bitumen tiles and are great!

On the first course of tiles, turn them upside down and with the tabs on the high side. This makes a much stronger edge and are more wind resistant.
