Q:
Can I add advice re shingles..as former owner of a shingle roofing Co. Take concrete tiles off.. Fix T&G 15 mm roofing ply to sound battens..with ply tongue on top edge..starting at spouting 50mm overhang and working upwards..safe to work all over.. String line first run of shingles at bottom and work up with 50% overlap as per shingle design.. Hire a shingle stapler or nailer.. Fix shingles above half overlap.. similar tactics on hips and valleys with cut sections of shingles.. Valleys first before shingles..hip after.. cheers Ron

Q:
I am looking at replacing an old concrete tile roof on my house, perhaps with these tiles you are selling?
A:
These are bitumen shingles, not tiles, so very different to your current roof. These need to be installed on a flat surface, your current tiles will be on framing.

Q:
Hi how much over lap do we need to cater for when working out how many packs to buy? I have a roof 5m slightly pitched in middle (so approx 5.5m) x 4.6m
A:
Each pack will cover 3m² with overlap If your roof is 5.5M x 4.6M = 25.30m² it would be best to go with 9 packs

Roofing shingles

Despite a lack of prior information about what these actually looked like and how to fix them, installation has been straight forward. The glue line along the bottom of the strip has proved to be very sticky - in fact too sticky when installing in the direct sun!

Saved our shed roof

I was absolutely thrilled to find these on line. They were exactly what we needed to patch the roof of our deer shed.

Shingles

I only received on bag of shingles. This roof requires 3 bags of shingle tiles to complete the roof. Disappointed that 3 packets of tiles was not advertised for this type of shed

IRIS log cabin

While we do like the finished product, we have had a few issues with the cabin. The hardware provided is of poor quality and we have had to request replacements for most of the hardware There were components missing from the pack, (dowel toggles and 3 specific screws - had to go and purchase separately) We had shingles installed but they have been cut off behind the barge board by the installer. This will mean water will flow down behind the barge board. We are now having to get flashings installed. 2 of the top corners do not look like they have joined correctly as we can see daylight from within the cabin. Not sure if this is an installation or a product issue.

Gazebo Roof using Log Cabin Shingles

What a great product. Good quality and easy installation. It only took me about 8 hours to cover our 7msq gazebo roof (solo effort). It only took a day or so of warm sun to settle the shingles into place and they have adhered together well. We've had heavy rain and strong winds and not a sign of lifting. The roof looks a million dollars. Would highly recommend.

Easy to install.

Recently re-roofed our playhouse. Apart from being scared of heights these were very easy to install, 1 person it took just half a day. Note we needed 2 packets to complete this project.
