Product overview

The Palmako Anna 26.8m² + 1.9m² Log Cabin is a modern styled building with a double door in the centre which is set back providing a small terrace area to park up a chair and relax in the sun.

Crafted from kiln dried Nordic spruce, the chalet cut 70mm thick logs offer increased protection against the elements, while the tongue and groove floor and roof construction makes for a precise, quality finish. Featuring two large spaces with ample room in each, this cabin is suitable for a variety of different uses.

The Anna is complete with two front facing double windows, a glass panel on each of the double front doors, and a third set of double windows on the side of the building. This generous design makes the Anna cabin bright and airy inside whilst also providing lots of heat retention with the generous 70mm wall logs and double glazing throughout.

With comprehensive instructions, assembly is easier than you might expect. Joists & terrace boards are treated, while the remainder of the house is delivered untreated and unfinished, you can choose the stain or colour that fits best with your location.

The 5 Year Manufacturer Warranty means you know it’s going to be a standout feature for your garden for many years to come.

Whether you need a quiet space to work, or somewhere to banish noisy teenagers, this log cabin is a stylish, practical addition to any backyard.

This cabin has a floor area under 30m², this means it is exempt from the consent process when added to your property as a structure for ancillary use. Please see our 'consent information' button below for more information.

Specifications and diagrams are included with this cabin, however PS1 documentation is not available. Make sure you check requirements with your local council before purchasing.

Construction Points:

A good foundation is the key to guaranteeing the longevity and quality of your cabin. Only a completely level, rectangular foundation and bearers will ensure problem-free installation of the cabin.

The floor must be a minimum of 50mm off the ground, preferably more. The underside of the floorboards and the joists should be painted thoroughly and care taken to ensure enough airflow under the house. We recommend using Malthoid DPC between joists and the ground.

Your chosen site must be levelled and compacted to minimise ‘settling’. We recommend using strip or spot foundations, concrete foundations or pavers or a cast concrete bed.

If unsure consult with, or have the foundation prepared by a specialist.

Q:
Is there any insulation in the ceiling?
A:
There is no insulation in the cabin. This cabin has 70mm thick walls, 19mm thick roof panels, 28mm thick floor boards and double glazed windows so it's pretty insulated already, however we have had customers add insulation with the help of a builder.

Q:
What is the m2 of Anna Log Cabin? It measures 7.9 x 4.2 to me equals 33.18 but the blurb says it is less than 30m2. Thanks
A:
The area of the main floor inside is 26.8m² and with the area of the veranda is 1.9m² with the total of both being a little under 30m2. It's a little easier to see in one of our photos with the floor plan.

Q:
Hi, are the windows and doors like in the advertised image of the cabin or are they plain panels of glass? Thanks
A:
They come as plain glass panels in the frames. The lattice piece is added afterwards and it is optional.

Q:
Are there windows in the rear wall, can it come without rhe dividing wall being totally open plan and does it come with wiring for electricity???
A:
There are no windows in the rear wall. We don't have an option of an open plan, these cabins come as a kitset and all the timber has been pre-cut therefore removing the dividing wall wouldn't be straight forward, however with the right know-how or a tradesman you may be able to it. The cabins don't come with electricity.

Q:
Can the main doors be flush with the outer wall and do you have a kitset verandah (roofing etc) to purchase or would we get a builder to build that part. I see someone has built one in one of the photos.
A:
The cabins come as kitset and all timber has been pre-cut prior to installation, if you have the know-how you may be able to do this yourself or with a builder however it's not part of the design or instructions. No, we don't have a kitset verandah to purchase, the customer has got creative and customised this themselves.

We absolutely love our Garden Cabin

Great quality Nordic pine with its high heartwood content that even impressed our builder! We did add an additional colour steel roof on with covered deck and steps but that was a personal choice.
