Q:
What’s the life expectancy on the shade material??
A:
There is no set lifespan, it really depends on location and exposure, however it's very high grade fabric. Check out the reviews to see how other customers are getting on.

How do you remove the canopy & could it be taken off between each use rather than left flapping around in the wind?

Q:
Is it possible to attach it to the Hardtop Patio Gazebo 3M X 3M?
A:
Not easily, you would need to cut the legs down, the height of the Patio Gazebo is 195cm ground to the gutter and you would need to bolt the middle rail of the pergola to something, a board of some sort, so it could be done but requires some thought.

Q:
Can the sunshade roller blinds be attached to the front of this pergola
A:
We have not come across this before, with some DIY you might be able to. Just remember that the frame is powder coated, this means if the powder coating is scratched/damaged/chipped from installing the roller blinds you might run the risk of allowing rust into your pergola.

Q:
Hi, does the fabric actually let water through when it rains? Even though it isnt waterproof, will it keep water off you if you are under it? Thanks
A:
Its water resistant so if there is a light shower then water is less likely to get through however if its pouring down with rain then it is possible for water to seep through the fabric.

Q:
The specs have me confused on which way the 3 x 4 goes. Hoping it is 3m along and 4m out (in simple layman terms). Can you please advise as the other way around won’t fit my wall and waiting to purchase.
A:
Unfortunately its 3m from the wall (D) and 4m (actually 395cm, W) so it's going to be too wide.

Wall pergola

Fantastic product, easy to install. And great value for money.

Pergola Canterbury
We love it!

We have a large, sunny but uneven deck that needed shelter, and this wall mounted pergola is perfect. It means we can now use the deck on a hot sunny day without having to squeeze around an umbrella. We live in a windy location in Wellington, so we just 'fold' the canopy away when we don't need it and we don't have to worry about the wind catching it. It was easy for 2 people to install.

Happy with product but...

We are experienced tradies but took a lot longer putting up our pergola than we should have. There were 2 holes for bolts that hadn't been predrilled, also the instructions were quite difficult to make out. Now it's up it looks great and works well, although I think a pulley attached to the post would be good so you don't have to put the cord securer so high up. Also perhaps it needed a few more rollers for the canopy so it doesn't hang down so far (we have it in front of a window) , so we have it rolled up and secured higher with bungee cords when it's retracted.

Wall Mounted Pergola with Retractable Canopy 3m x 4m

It was a bit of a mission to put up as I had to make 2 concrete pads for the legs then dyno bolt to the house. problem was the holes were only 25mm away from the edge of the windows so had to make 2 steel brackets so brick and rough cast wouldn't shatter when I tighten dyno bolts up. Defiantly a 2man job. Now it is up it is just awesome and everyone wants to know where I bought it

Its a nice pergola

The instructions were reasonably clear but they transposed the numbers on the distance from the wall and if you measured using the first figure it is completely wrong so make sure you use the right number (see photo). Also the top runners were missing the bolt hole in the top which I had to measure and drill, luckily I had a 10mm drill bit. But now it is up it looks good and seems well made.

Wall Mounted Pergola with Retractable Canopy

Works and looks good, found that I needed to fit brackets to the uprights and front support to make more stable

What a disaster to start with

We purchased this and after following the first few pages... it turns out the numbers were typed wrong so we had to start allllll over again. So I recommend checking the end of the book to make sure measurements are the same. That typo cost us hours of work :( However, now it's up we really do like it :)

Great value.

We have not been able to see the result of true summer sun beating down but feel this pergola will serve its purpose. In retrospect the installation of the free standing version may have been easier even if a bit more expensive .It is suggested that the winding/rewinding system could be improved by making the anchor point lower down the leg over a pulley at its top.

Wall mounted pergola

Good value for money and reasonably easy to assemble. Measuring twice (or three times) is recommended to avoid any disapointments.
