Product overview

Chew through large amounts of garden waste quickly and easily with this powerful, mobile wood chipper from Hyundai.

Built to make chipping easy, the workhorse 420cc 4-stroke motor powers a rotating blade and anvil mechanism, that not only rips through your garden waste but gives this chipper a self-feeding action for maximum work with minimum effort. This model features electric starting for even simpler operation - just fuel up and turn the key.

Munch through branches up to 70-100mm in diameter depending on type and hardness of the wood, keeping in mind that dry hardwoods such as manuka and mapou will need to be significantly smaller to chip effectively.

Built tough with all steel construction, this is a heavy-duty machine, but is easy to manoeuvre with its twin hopper handles, large diameter, extra wide pneumatic tyres. It’s also a great option for larger properties thanks to the included 50mm tow bar mount (off-road use only), so you can take it to where the work is. The hopper is hinged for easy blockage clearance, while the extended, adjustable discharge chute is especially handy for feeding directly onto a trailer, ute deck or wheelbarrow.

The precision HSS blades and hardened steel anvil cut clean and fast, while the twin v-belt drive design gives smooth running, better shock load protection and simple servicing.

Suitable for larger properties and frequent use, this machine is capable of chipping and shredding large quantities of wood and branches into easily handled chippings quickly and effortlessly.

Order today and take the effort out of maintaining your property.

Q:
Hi, seems a fantastic chipper, will it do Yakka branches ok, thank you
A:
Yes this is a fantastic wood chipper. You do however need to be careful with the fibrous plants like Yakka and and vines, it will handle cutting them but it pays to check regularly that there are no blockages accumulating

Hi, will it handle olive branch prunings, and if so to what thickness? Olive branches seem to be a relatively hard wood?

Wish I never bought it

I hate this machine. Bought it 2.5 years ago, it has never been that successful. I use it twice a year for general mulching of branches from ti tree and caprosma and other such natives. It has never chipped very effectively, the chute directional end piece vibrates loose and now doesn’t attach at all any more. The machine frequently jams. I spend more time unjamming the machine than I do mulching. I’m going to scrap it for parts … utterly useless as a chipper.

Nice solid machine

A good machine - heavily built and well put together, chomps through anything we've thrown at it without blockage. A little top-heavy for towing; need to be very careful.

Wide track modification

After having this chipper tip over while towing, before I had even used it, I decided to make a new axle. This setup is considerably wider and very stable. I am lucky enough to have access to a lathe so I made the stub axles myself but it is possible to cut the existing axle out of the bracket and use that but it might void the warranty

Great but not great

This chipper performs well except you can't take it anywhere except over flat even ground, the slightest irregularity and it will tip over, very poorly designed wheel spacing

Brilliant wood chipper

Works great, easy to start on electric motor, used it heaps. Tow it behind a quad bike, just go slow.

Awesome product

Hand on heart a great product .... our chipper affectionately called Glenda after my mum (who can be a tad sharp at times) arrived, easy to assemble and has chipped and shredded everything we have sent it's way. Double thumbs up

Hyundai Wood Chipper 15HP 308 with Electric Start

For lighter chipping it clogs regularly and has to be opened and cleared. For say 30to 50mm softer wood it’s ok. You get what you pay for. Thanks

Chipper

Great set up does everything it said in the advert. Could do with wider wheel span as very top heavy. Chipper will chip 80mm branches, but must not rush unit needs time to deal with large branches. Recommend this unit for the price.

solid powerful chipper

this is a sound and solid, powerful chipper that does it's work well. It's wheels are to close together and as such it is not stable on lumpy non flat surfaces and I will be getting my local engineer to put in a wider axle. I have also had the locking ring around the start key vibrate loose as well as the kill stop mechanism. I have repaired both and used tock tight to stop these threads undoing themselves in future. I would recommend anyone purchasing one of these machines to be prepared to keep an eye on these maintenance issues.
