Product overview

Electric netting is the ideal option for those keeping a small amount of birds in a domestic setting, preferring a solution which gives birds space to roam, can be moved and stored easily, and has a low visual impact.

The net is manufactured from polyurethane with metal filaments running through the horizontal strands (apart from the bottom base line). This is mounted on PVC posts.

To ‘charge’ the net an energiser is connected to the net and to the ground via an earth stake. This forms an open circuit.
When an animal comes into contact with the net and ground it completes the circuit and gets a shock. This is why the net itself does not need to be erected in a loop and can be erected in a straight line if required. The energiser produces a high voltage pulse approximately once every second. Possums, like most animals, investigate unfamiliar additions to their environment and it is at this point the shock is delivered.

Although the net is not of insurmountable height, once the animal has been shocked the net will be a sufficient enough psychological barrier that the animal will be unlikely to attempt a breech.

Available in green, this poultry net comes complete with 15 posts, 13 ground pins, 4 corner guys, & a repair kit.

Dock

Works well but find it's a bit saggy at the top in places. Hard to keep taut.

Chook fence review

It keeps the chooks in and predators out, made well, seems to do the job

Good netting

This product has been really useful on our small farm. The poles are a bit flimsy and have had to add a few extra supports in some areas. Haven't tried the energerizer yet as we didn't have a spare battery.

No instructions for energizer

this is a good light and flexible fence. Great to climb over.I don't use the energizer as it says I must read the instructions to use it and hook it up. But it didn't come with any instructions' feel 50 m length is the minimum size.25m would be way to small, unless you were just using it as a divider. Chickens stay inside unless they climb a tree and jump down from it. you don't need a energizer unless you were deterring dogs id say.

Excellent poultry fence

Easy to setup, easy to move, keeps chickens in and other things out. Great purchase.
