Traditional bird box

Well made, separate piece with the hole held on by 2 eyelets for easy removal. The box itself is quite small.

Bird box

I bought 3 of these after having to prevent starlings from getting into my roof. The first one I put up started showing signs of mould after a few weeks from the constant rain we have had. However I was dealing with more than 1pair of birds so thought I’d get another 2.I did put a coat of water based varnish on the exterior to help protect the wood.I then cut off a stout twig to insert just below the entrance to the box.Even though it is early the intended tenants have been checking them out so I am hopeful. The boxes appear well made with removable front portion for easy clean between seasons and drain holes on bottom for any moisture relief.
