Product overview

Rain, rain, go away - no more standing at your door step trying to unlock the door whilst getting soaking wet.

The Nancy 2050 Fixed Canopy Awning is made with made with an ultra durable UV resistant panel supported by a powder coated galvanised steel support bracket in dark grey finish.

The Nancy is weather proof and rust proof, it withstands wind and even the accumulation of snow - see rating specs below. By choosing Nancy and its polycarbonate panel instead of glass, rest assured you will be risk-free of shatter broken glass. Polycarbonate also allows minimal noise from pouring rain, it is less affected by temperature changes and it has the characteristic of being fire-retardant. While the clear panel blocks a certain degree of harmful UV light for you, it doesn't block light for internal brightness.

Easy to assemble, the Nancy has a screw-free assembly system that is specially developed to prevent rain/dew leaks.

Q:
is the panel certified safety glass ?
A:
The panel is made from 4mm polycarbonate rather than glass, it is very strong but there is also no risk of shattered glass, have a read through the product description which outlines the other benefits of the polycarbonate panels.

Q:
Hi, how flat is this please? Will water just pool on the glass or does the water run off somehow?

They are designed so there is very little to no pooling.

Q:
Can this be fastened to aluminium joinery? We have a large entrance way made of aluminium and glass (in quadrants) that we are looking to add cover above the door way. Thanks
A:
Yes theoretically, however it won't come with suitable fasteners, so you'll need to do some research around whats best for your application - also is your particular aluminium joinery designed to handle the wind load generated?

Excellent value for money

Looks great however needs some 'tradie' skills to install. Quality of the product is really good. Be prepared to read well, and be able to adapt to your specific situation. I love the completed look!

Modern look

Really happy with cover and protection over the door. Instructions could be a bit more detailed though. Need 2-3 people to install it. Because it is a Perspex product the ends don’t sit straight, so visually not so great, however it’s at a batch. We also installed more fixing timber in behind as it is heavy and we were able to cantilever it out slightly so the rain and leaves run off. Very happy though it’s the right look.

This is a very DIY friendly product. I joined two 2050 to form a continuous 4 metre canopy to span the entire length of deck outside the door. I have no problem to modify the spacing of the supports to avoid clashing with downpipe and keeping the supports centered with the door. I made mounting blocks fixed to the beveled weatherboard wall, to allow the canopy to have a slight fall away from the wall. I joined the two together with colour matching aluminium angles riveted to the front and back bars and align the PC sheets the with aluminium angles which also serve to close the gap in between.

Nice product. Best to have two people to install this awning.

Buy the 1.5

We bought two 1.5 wide and one 2 metre size for our large bi fold lounge opening and we made a scissor type frame for the 2 metre one to stay in place as the holes were drilled. My husband is an experienced carpenter, nice quality kites, used the online video to assemble. I would definitely buy the 1.5 size but the 2 metre does sag just a little, level to the naked eye but not to water. We installed twinwall jointers on the sides.

Not quite as the pictures suggest

Our professional builder has installed our canopy but we have come across an issue. On one end the perspecs sheet has gone wavey and has a bad curve. The builders have rechecked it to see if they could find the issue. It is definitely not too tight in the structure constricting it. The other end is curving as well but not as bad. The whole package was keep flat until installation. Paid a good price for this simple structure so am disappointed.
