A good mulcher for the price

This is a good product that works very well on small foliage from trees etc. If you use it on things like vege plants it clogs up quickly. Better to mulch the later with a lawn mower. It has a good usable bin to catch the mulch and the once the foliage has been caught by the blade it pulls it in to be mulched. It is quiet and easy to use.

A steady muncher

Not too noisy and easy to operate. Works perfectly for me munching on Fern fronds which I use as garden mulch and for the chicken coup.

Badger Auckland
A bit underwhelming

It does cut twigs and branches, softer matter not really at all and will certainly get gummed up if you try putting your hedge clippings through it. It is a very narrow entry point for material, which is ok if it's branch that you can push down until it grabs, but as above, smaller bushier material doesn't grab and if it does, doesn't get mulched. Assembly was kind of odd, it comes with a hex wrench but no hex bolts or screws at all. The screws for the feet are the wrong size. Think of it as a meditation device, it is quiet! which is good, and it will take you a long time to get through your clippings, put on some music or ponder life for a while.

Better than I expected

Great little mulcher for the price. Easy to assemble. As other reviewers mention, it doesn't like the small stuff or too much fresh/green leafy matter but blockages are reasonably easy to clear and it chomps through 15-40mm branches with ease.

Alison Auckland
Reserving final judgement yet but...

I haven't used this extensively yet but to date the results have been 'mixed', with lots of what I fed through (small slightly green branches) mostly being 'chewed' rather than shredded, and just pulled through leaving long-ish lengths in the bin. This was with the 'out of the box' setting, so I probably will need to fiddle with the gap setting to seek better shredding. Way too early to give up on it yet though, and results may well vary with feeding it different trimmings. BTW, have left the Recommendation as 'Yes' because there is no 'Maybe' option, and most reviewers seem to be very happy with the shredder.

Average

Works ok but very slow to feed/operate with no hopper. basically you have to feed every individual stick/branch into it.

Jamie Auckland
No, I do not recommend this product.
garden shredder

This shredder is perfect for the job of tidying up the prunings in our garden. Was amazed as well it worked on the larger branches. strongly recommend for the home gardener .

Best buy!

As we now have to pay for every twig we take to green waste we purchased this toi also brought reduce and compact the garden waste. Today I was shredding rose canes. The shredder is easy to manoeuvre around the garden and so easy to use. Highly recommend.
