Product overview

Designed to work with standard 20ft shipping containers, our range of great value container shelters are the perfect way to provide fast, easy protection for your work force and equipment.

Boasting an extremely strong hot-dip galvanised frame, this 6m x 6m (20ft x 6m) shelter is built to shrug off the elements.

The covering is made from heavy-duty 610gsm PVC, which is UV stabilised for New Zealand conditions to ensure long term durability and help block radiated heat. By minimising heat transfer through the PVC, the environment inside the shelter stays cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

The fabric is completely waterproof, so you and your equipment will be dry year round.

Adding a shelter to your work site means your equipment, materials and people stay in tip top condition whatever the weather, enhancing the safety, quality and speed of your work.

Our container shelters are free of interior wires or bracing, making them perfect for storing vehicles and machinery that require a bit more room.

The container shelter PVC cover is attached to the frame with supplied ratchet tie downs.
Full assembly instructions are provided and if you move to a new site, just break down the shelter and take it with you. We recommend welding the shelter frame to the containers.

All workmanship and materials are backed by a 5 Year Trade Tested Warranty, so you know it’s built to last.

Order today to add instant storage space to the farm, workshop, builders’ yard, job site or anywhere you require fast, efficient and flexible shelter.

It is 102 km/h when it has been welded to the containers

Q:
Is it possible to attach the shelter to the outside edge of the container rather than the inside edge?
A:
Yes it should be possible if you turn the feet around, however you would be left with minimal space under the shelter if you set it up like that!

Q:
Do the containers need to be an exact distance apart?
A:
Theoretically the distance between the two container edges should be 5816mm, taking into account the feet dimensions. However its highly likely you may need to do some tweaking of the gap during assembly.

Q:
Is there a reason why it is better to weld than bolt and screw? Bolting makes it easier to take apart and relocate, so just wondered the reasoning behind this?
A:
It's stronger as a start, but also bolting involves drilling holes in your container, which presents a different set of issues with weather tightness etc, however you can bolt it on if this is the best solution for you.

Q:
How is the shelter fixed to the containers if you choose not to weld?
A:
You could drill and bolt it, but welding is the best option.

Q:
Why does it give a bay length of 2 meters? Surely the bay length is 6 meters? What is height at Centre of arch, it only gives 1.8 meters as height?
A:
This refers to the gap between the arches - 2m. The height to the centre of the arch is 1.8m (this excludes the container height obviously).

Solid Purchase

Easy enough to put together. Functions well. Should be easy enough to dismantle and put up again later on.

Instructions are shocking

The instructions provided are shockingly bad.

Andy Auckland
No, I do not recommend this product.
Good investment

Great investment, laid everything out and could picture where everything was to go. 3 of us had it together in no time. A good carport or covered work area.

Paul Golden Bay
No instruction manual

Product is good but not very happy that there is no instruction manual and we had to waste a lot of time trying to figure out how to assemble the canopy.

Eddie Whanganui
An asset to our yard

Our 6mx6m container shelter has been in place for almost a year now. It has been through winter, summer, wind and all, and is bearing up well. When we installed it instructions were minimal, however a couple of mechanically minded guys had it installed in less than half a day. Overall it is a good product and I will order another one soon.

Shelter

Needs to be welded to container and excess material on each side best rolled in heavy metal pipe and then strapped to each end strut

Richard Mapua
Poor assembly instructions

The canopy seems ok however the assembly instructions are minimal to non-existent. There are no assembly instructions for the canopy.

Eddie Whanganui

container shelter 6m x 6m x 1.8m

really nice produce and it is good quality. easy to assemble and keeps heat away in summer months.

adip Bay of Plenty
How does it fit together?

Assembly instructions are very poor, if you don't have an idea how this goes together before you even start, reading the instructions will be a small help. That said, once constructed it looks like quite a good and sturdy item

Shanes Northland
